The listing, Chrismon Christmas Ornaments Set of 3 has ended.
This is a set of Chrismon ornaments I made. I made them to decorate a wreath and I made to many, so I decided to offer them to you.
Chrismon comes from Christ's monograms. Each ornament symbolizes Jesus's life in some way. The chrismons are a great way to keep Christ the focus of your Christmas.
I beaded these with pearl like beads. They are not real pearls.
The crown represents the majesty and royalty of Christ. God is the sovereign ruler of the universe.
The fish comes from ICHTHUS - the Greek acrostic for, “Jesus Christ Son of God, Savior”, and was also the Greek word for fish. Persecuted Christians of the early church used the fish symbol as a secret sign to identify one another.
The five-point star or Epiphany Star, which the wise men followed, symbolizes this whole season.
These are great to hang on your tree, a wreath or to give as a gift to someone. If given as a gift, I always stick the meanings of each symbol in with the ornaments.
Let me know if you have any questions.
