two things you could take it to a pawn shop for free to find out if its real or you could take womens liquid face base foundation the stuff we put all over our face and rub some on your arm then rub the gold part of the ring on your arm were the make up is and if it leaves black streaks on your arm then its real gold but this works for gold , gold plated , and silver
