I don't know why it looks like two lids. Maybe just my photography ability? It is for sure the top and bottom to the same "Brighton Heart Tin". I have lots of Brighton Tins, purses, etc only because I LOVE HEARTS! So from now on you will remember me as GIN & TIN? haha used to be a different kind of GIN I was known for! haha *Tangueray Gin"

I can't honestly tell you....I would guess about 3 or 4 yrs? I have never worn it. lol
I collect about every pc of jewelry I can that has hearts on it and I am just down sizing everything.....I actually have another exactly like it or I would not be parting with anything that has hearts on it. Thanks for looking. and btw the Brighton Tin that it comes in is like brand new as you can tell from the pics.

Measuring from the CLASP (not the end of the extension chain) to the first chain is a little more than 8" and to the bottom of the heart it is about 11 3/4"
So it would be considered a 24" necklace I guess.
Hope this helps you visualize it.

NO SMOKIN IN MY HOME!!! I do have 4 legged little critters though....They have are not allowed in the kitchen or the bedrooms though. But don't worry they have their own Victorian style chase lounge (my friends think I'm crazy because it is the prettiest chair in the house) haha
