They may not be Silver or Gold but survived all these years! They represent interesting periods of history of this nation and my family heritage! From what I have learned about my Great Great Grandfather he would have been one of those carving and hammering on these to make something! On the other hand he had 15 Children so likely never saw one for long! He died in this period and all of the family moved to California except the 3 oldest children, one of the three being my Great Grandfather! In his will, He left 5 Cents to each of the boys and the girls each got a feather pillow (A prized possession in those times!).
