Thank you for your help -- Does this have the USB thingie with it too, that connects camera to PC? Sorry if you already answered it, I just browsed thru the Q-A's quickly. I am bidding either way, those cables are very cheap. Really need a camera, like I said, cell phone pics are KILLING ME. That's why I don't list as much stuff here. :) THANKS!!!
ardore--i was going to add a pic of the driver disk that comes w/camera to show you where it says mac compatible but it won't let me edit the posting so if you want me to send it to your personal e-mail i will do that for you. i guess as re-insurance on your part.
it's been a great little camera and i love taking pictures. thank goodness they came up w/the whole digital "do it yourself" idea because it use to cost an arm & leg having film developed all the time and i hated the wait haha
Your welcome. I actually had a digital camera and it took great pictures until one day it just stopped working. I hate when that happens. Lol. I hope I win.
if you still have it, it's probably an easy fix like the battery connections have corrosion or something. it may be worth getting it fixed...idk good luck though
it does not come w/a memory card. you will have to find out what kind olympus cameras use. all i know is they are shorter than the normal size ones--sorry, not much help there!
I have a prepaid cell phone plan, to get pictures off my phone (I take them for free) I have to send them in a multimedia text message to my e-mail address, that costs about 50 cents per message. I can send 6 photos at a time, but still, that adds up REAL FAST, especially when you take a lot of pics of your kids and stuff too. :)
I am going to try to win this one. I am getting low on credits, but I pu tin a large amount, whatever I coudl spend... if not I get my taxes back on Monday or Tuesday.. Whooot!!! So I could always grab one then too.. but this is def. a great deal. Thanks for offering. I am going to be mad excited if I win it. :)
Hot auction! My intention to have a camera is strong; I have been looking for one for a while. It will be to share with others in my household as well! Thanks for answering all the questions regarding software/cables, etc. I am wondering about why "Ardore"s pics cost extra money too. Shame on some cell phone companies. Pics oughtta be included in the monthly rate.
I am done bidding - LOL I am gonna buy one Monday or Tues for my auctions.. thanks for all you rinfo though, someone is gonna be very happy w/ this one.
sorry about he lens question. i didn't know and i hope you weren't offended if so, again sorry. are you going to ship for free in u.s if shipping goes above a certain number. thank you and god bless
ah noooo.... i wasn't offended at all. i didn't mean to give off that impression. i was just making fun of my new camera because that's what i used to take the pic. and yes, if it goes over 100 i will pay shipping in the us
nice camera. i live in georgia. are you saying that you are willing to ship for free within the u.s if the winning bid is over 100? if this is wrong let me know please. i'm interested in the camera but only if it's free shipping. thank you and god bless
absolutely not-- the lens is not broken; it takes good pics. i got a brand new olympus camera that's why i listed this one. i wouldn't post something if it was broken and to think i used my new camera to take these pics... uh oh maybe i should reconsider...haha
FYI: the wavy line where the lens would be is actually the COVER that sits over the lens. The two sides of the cover meet at the 'wavy line' and retract when the camera is turned on. It's a common mechanism. The lens itself sits directly behind the cover. Only the donor can tell you if the lens is broken or cracked....
FYI to donor: you will find people outside the USA will try to pressure you into shipping to their country, for free. They know darn well you are inexperienced shipping overseas (MOST Listia donors are in the same boat on that point). They want the item itself for free PLUS the shipping - and they know it's a heck of a lot MORE than shipping within the USA.
Be careful if you offer to ship worldwide. There are different postal & security regulations for each country, PLUS the postal rates themselves can be very high. You probably want to check that before committing yourself.
Hi, I read all the comments--good "story", as it were! Lots to learn here on Listia. It IS a great learning experience! I've been looking for a good little camera for my family... I'll cross my fingers
hi i just wanted to say that when u ship to another country it is expensive..my sister is in South Korea i shipped her three paper back books in a yellow envelope and it cost almost ten dollars so i could imagine how much this would cost ya just thought i would let u know this :) great camera...oh yea and the post offices in some other countries will open it and look inside and they want u to pay for insurance when u ship overseas it does get up there so just watch about free shipping.....:)
just to let you know i have checked shipping internationally at the post office. and like the flat rate boxes that are 4.95, it costs, i think they said like 28 bucks or something like that. it's a lot more. and i will be watching this camera, very nice. thank you.
