"The Third Man Factor" is the riveting story behind an extraordinary idea: that people at the very edge of death experience a benovelent presence beside them who encourages them to make one final effort to survive. This book recounts stories of 9/11 survivors, mountaineers, divers, polar explorers, prisoners of war, sailors, shipwreck survivors, aviators and astronauts. All have escaped traumatic events only to tell strikingly similar stories of having sensed the close presence of a helper or guardian.

Soft-cover book in excellent condition.

Same-day shipping when payment for postage is received by 5:00 p.m., eastern time on a day the post office is open. Never later than the next business day following payment.

Hi. I can't see how to cancel a bid. I found this on the support page, After the auction you can request a credit refund, which I will approve.

"Refunds from auctions are handled automatically after an auction has completed. Auction winners may file a dispute for a credit refund 3 days after the auction has ended. If your auction is eligible for a credit refund it will be stated on the auction page with a link/button to start your claim. Auctions are closed after 60 days and credit refunds disputes can not be filed after this time. Listed below are the possible outcomes of a credit refund dispute.

Winner: requests refund, Seller: no response

The winner will receive an automatic credit refund 5 days after the dispute has been filed.

Winner: requests refund, Seller: replies with reason

The seller can approve or disapprove of the credit refund request. If the seller approves the winner will get their credits automatically. If the seller disapproves then Listia will look at the details of the transaction and issue credits one way or the other."
