Ring is solid 14k gold and has the hallmark of a S with what looks like a house around it. A square shaped bottom with a triangle at the top with no dividing line between the two. I have taken a picture looking at it with a jeweler's loupe and hope that this can verify any doubts. The ring is a size 5 but the band is not thin so I have no doubt that it can be resized by any competent jeweler. The pear shaped stone is however a very good fake but nonetheless a fake. You could have it replaced with a real diamond and save yourself the cost of gold. The stone measures 10mm x 7mm and catches very good light. While it does not project rainbows onto surfaces as if it were a real diamond you can see that when caught by sunshine it can emit a rainbow glow. I weighed the ring and it weighs 1/10 of an ounce. How much of that is gold and how much is stone I do not know. The price of 14k gold today(9-22) is near $800. Ring will be shipped with tracking and insurance.

I may take it by my jeweler to get a confirmation to ease anyone's mind. Where did it come from...The ring was found in my inlaws back yard and no one has ever seen it or has any clue who it might belong to and since it has now been over six months I have decided to pay the children the value of the gold and give it away here.
