it doesn't record on the small discs then? Just the SD card?

It's my understanding it does record w/o an SD card, just alot less memory.

an sd card is something you can purchase in different sizes this is a micro mini from what was written above....you can get different size gigs to be able to hold more on it....it depends on how much you want your sd card to hold on how much the card will cost...you can also look on listia for the sd card i have gotten 3 off of listia..... this is what holds your pictures and video....it doesnt need film just the sd card... i have 2 different cameras and my phone also uses sd card...love them its great no more film...good luck on the auction hun...i am watching might get this as a gift

You need film if you don't have an SD card. The SD card eliminates film and holds a ton of memory for pics and videos.

The SD card can be pricey but if you put SD card on search on Listia, you may find one for your camera.
