Living in Canada, I can confirm to you all that I haven't seen a penny since they've stopped being circulated. I used to think my 1861 half penny and my 1863 penny were rare enough! Now I've stashed a bunch of these away, hopefully they'll be worth something soon.

because Canada does not make pennies anymore....they will be worth hanging onto especially for the grandkids. Canada pennies are obsolete now.
