The listing, Papaver Somniferium(dutch blue) sm. baggie full has ended.
Somniferium Papaver (Poppy) Seeds, grown for thier adaptation to cooler climates, and thier beauty. Fall is a great time for planting poppies as they like when the temps fall, and grow relatively fast. Last year I had flowers before winter. I also want to point something out for those of you who hear the word "dutch blue" and think the blooms will be blue, like the Himalayan Blue. Himalayan Blues are a vibrant blue flower with yellow centers. Those poppys are very hard to germinate, and grow on the smaller side. I think they are picky as to which climates they grow here. The reason I point this out, is because many people who remember me listing dutch blues from previous auctions, often assume that the bloom will be a blue color, it wont. However, it is a very endurable poppy, and sometimes gigantium seeds are in the mix, which will produce multiple blooms, and the various colors of pinks, and orange pinks, and lavendars, are just as gorgeous, if you do get an occasional blue, it will be a pastel in color, but still very beautiful. Of the pics I show, none of them include the fact that some flowers may come out with the double blooms, or jagged edging, so you just never know the variation, but it is dutch blue, the varitey I have, which is not the same as Himalayan Blue, which are very pricy to come by too. Some of the D.B. will also get very tall and produce multiple pods/blooms.
