Measures approx. 9 3/4" tall x 4 1/2" wide

Glenn Miller was a big band musician, arranger, composer and bandleader in the swing era of the 1940's. He was a best selling recording artist from 1939 until 1943. While he was traveling to entertain the U.S. Troops in France during WWII, Glenn Millers plane disappeared in bad weather over the English Channel.

No, it is Tiara glass--it is not a fake. This decanter may be a reproduction of an early piece--but if it is, I have never seen one. Tiara made several figural decanters--this is just one of many. If you look at my description, I have added an update that tells you a little bit about Tiara glass.

I live just a few miles away from Dunkirk, Indiana and a lot of my and my fiancé's family have worked at that glass factory. I am surprised and proud that that it's reputation has spread that far! I believe the glass Dunkirk factory is now closed as well. They still have the "Glass Days Festivals" every year around the 4th of July, but I don't think the factory is in production anymore.
