This is a small Belgian Tapestry I bought on a trip some years ago in Brussels, Belgium, where they are famous for the most beautiful tapestry. It has lots of gold threads interwoven and the whole lacey border is gold thread. It can be just put on top of a dresser or made into a lovely sewing pillow for pins or hatpin collections or used to make a gorgeous fancy purse, or sewn onto a sweater or shirt or jacket back. I left the back on (you can see in the folded corner. But unless you make it into a pillow or sew it onto something I would remove it, as it feels a little weird with age(it was meant to prevent sliding on the dresser , but I would replace it, or just take it off. I left it so you can see what to replace it with. You could also fold it in half to make a large eyeglass case (The size is 9" x 91/2 " to the outside of the lace, folded in half the inside of the lace comes to 3 3/4" x 7 1/2") It can also be framed for wall decor or made the centerpiece of a fabulous quilt fit for a palace!(I would put it on the diamond.)
