Beautifully handcrafted work of art. Oriental lady playing musical instrument. It's some type of bamboo or wood laid over drawing. Makes it like 3 D. Signed on back and says ETERNAL BEAUTY
I got this from my mom and she got it in Japan in 1968 when we lived there. There's some water staining on side of picture.
I took this to 3 antique shops but nobody could tell me anything about it. And parents have passed away so I can't ask them I don't know how else to find information on it. My internet research turned up nothing.
Very beautiful piece for any oriental collectors. Would look great framed and displayed instead of put away in my moms steamer trunk

Ive got a couple of pictures that are made like that too, My parents worked for some japanese when i wwas little & was told as the elders made the pictures they would tell a story, Each picture is suppose to represent a custom or tradition of the family, I also have some with a laquer background made out of abalone, & bone, There very hard to preserve, but beautiful, thx for shareing
