Description

The listing, 2 Laptops, 1 works.. read description has ended.

I have 2 laptops.

1 Acer 5200 15" laptop which still works-----see below.

1 Dell Inspiron 15" Laptop which worked the last time I had a charger for it.

ACER:
I acquired this laptop 2 years ago and it worked just fine for a while, and then it had overheating issues... It will work for awhile, and then suddenly shuts off.
I cut out a spot underneath the CPU heatsink, as I installed a fan directly above it, however the overheating occurs near the RAM. That is when I decided to stop the project.

Another note, the CHARGER needs to be resoldered. The "idiot" I traded with did the WORST solder job I've seen. It worked, but it was a bad job. If you have solder experience, this is really easy, but I don't have the desire to fool with this anymore. I DO HAVE THE CHARGER, the soldering needs to be done on the TIP that inserts into the laptop.

DELL:
This laptop is missing a few keys around the RETURN BUTTON, and maybe a few arrow keys. See Pic.

Overall, the laptop works, but the right screen bezel(where the screen connects to the keyboard) is cracked. other than those 2 things, scratches and scrapes.... the laptop was working fine the last time I had a charger for it. My friends children though it would be cool to peel some keys off and knock it on the floor! :)---> Kids!

Chargers are pretty cheap for this laptop, DELL is pretty universal.

I don't have a way to erase the hard-drives... I will supply a Windows XP disk to erase and install windows XP as that is what came on the machines.

If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask away! If I receive payment for shipping, I can have this to you in 4-5 days MAXIMUM.

HAPPY BIDDING!!!!!!!

*****NOTE******* The 2nd picture shows the ACER Powering up and loading Windows XP OS. I cannot guarantee that the battery will still have a charge when you receive it, but one can hope!

yeah, if you have a dell charger, and a little ingenuity, the dell will be up and running REAL quick.

The ACER just needs a fan installed, or if you take the bottom panels off, probably applying a little thermal paste would do the trick. But I don't wanna do it, thus it's up for auction!

Sorry for the late reply! Been out of inet range all day. Both laptops are equipped with WIFI, that is not to say that they are working, I cannot guarantee that, but I can say that they worked the LAST TIME I turned them on.

So I guess they do come with WIFI built-in... and I'm sorry, Dial-Up DOES stink! I tried to load this up earlier today on it, and after 10 seconds. Shut-down the computer. Comcast, a monopoly, but a damn good one!

I am fairly certain the DELL has a 40gb Hard Drive with 1gb of RAM(hard to believe that was top of the line in '05

Acer is 100gb hdd with 1gb of RAM... I believe these are correct. I will triple-check when I get home and remove their panels.

Ok, thanks. My HP laptop is three years old. It says WLAN on it, which I can turn on or off. But I don't know how to use it. I can only get dial-up, which stinks. I live too far out to get high speed. Good grief! I only live 16 miles either way from two towns. I wonder, does either of these laptops have WiFi? Thanks.

ethernet is wired or LAN internect connectivity....as oppose to dial-up modem....most computers now a days have an ethernet connection instead of the older modem connection...ethernet cable is called cat5....its not the same as a telephone cable although they are similar in appearance, ethernet is slightly bigger and wider...

Alright, so now FREE SHIPPING has taken affect...

I am now throwing in a bundle of usb cables I have, a USB fan I made. I will add some blank dvd's as well as a 4 port ethernet switch.

I will also supply the XP disk as stated above, and a free copy of TurboCAD. It is a computer aided drafting software that I was planning on selling, so you can use it or just re-sell it. Whatever.

I will wind up adding more stuff to this auction, just because it has gotten so high. So keep on bidding, and I will keep on adding goodies to it!

Thank you EVERYONE!

Absolutely!!!

I'm a pretty fair person, I don't know what type of bidding to expect, so at this moment, I don't know what the cut-off will be, but I will say for now.............

1700+ credits = free shipping

if for some reason bidding doesn't reach that high, I might just do it out of holiday spirit, but if bidding stopped right now, would need $10!

Thanks for the question!
