@ Theunderling. Yvw sir,I have seen the results of folks trying to force wrong ram into a slot not made for the specific type. aka Square peg into a round hole LOL.
Hey JumboB, thanks for being awesome and giving us all some lessons on RAM. I know it has helped me and I am sure I helps others too. I added another photo that shows where the pins are located on different levels of DRR RAM.
Hmm I am not 100% but googling this model a bit I have found it looks like its 400MHz DDR. If that doesn't answer please let me know and I will try again.
Nice catch, nice eye, ram doesnt normally go in the PCI slot, lol . That goes to a video card I will be auctioning off. Thank you very much for pointing that out.
Actually, as these sticks are described as DDR, they will not work in "any standard desktop", unless the mobo has slots for plain DDR otoh, some mobos have the option to have, either DDR .OR DDR2. ie different colored slots.Just an fyi :-)
