It happens all the time! My husband has alot of planchet coins. He collects them too and I would love to bid on this but unfortunately I dont have enough credits. Great coin..I wish you luck with your auction and Happy Holidays!

happens about 1000 or so times out of every 10 million coins most being blanks not stamped on one side or stamped off center the most common being end of roll scratched where the end coin gets a circle scratch sometimes half to three quarters around made from the rolling machines tighting the end of the roll to tight can find these in new bank rolls of coins
