You are so right! It reminds me of what happened to my kids and me some years ago. A drunk driver hit me and I had both of my young children in the car with me! It was so terrifying and scary!!! Thank God I was driving a sturdy long car! My daughter was in a very good car seat, but my son was in the back seat and he did suffer some injuries as well as I did. Can you believe this idiot plowed into the rear of my vehicle with a big truck. He pushed the whole trunk of the vehicle into the back seat! I had some good samaritans along with God's help that came to our rescue and they helped me get the kids in their auto. Then the drunk driver walks up to me and says he is sorry and immediately I could smell the strong stench of alcohol! I was so mad I hollered at him and said to him You fool, do you realize you could have killed us? I don't like to call anybody a fool, but i was just so mad and scared that I said it without really thinking. Needless to say he only got a slap on the wrist and my kids were traumatized for months. My son and I had to go to the drs for awhile, him with skeletoral strain and me with physical therapy for neck, back, and leg injuries. I say all this because I want others to realize that you don't need to drive if you have been drinking it does impair your reaction time and your ability to respond!!! Thanks Lola!

I am sure it is something that haunts you and your kids...
To this day. The 4 of my family were in a Windstar..they
were knocked the length of a football field.
It was horrible in court...very graphic pictures were
presented to the jury. It is hard to see pics of a dr. holding
your daddy's brains...heart and other body body parts.
But they are rejoicing now!!
And they are still together!
They were killed in Oct. And my sister
and I were gonna throw them a big
Celebration in May for their 50th anniversary.
