sorry but i wouldn't know. i've never had an american doll, and i bought this pattern at a yard sale and never made anything with it. my daughter got tired of dolls before i had a chance to make them. your guess is as good as mine.

I bought this at a used store. it doesn't look like it's ever had anything cut out of it. neatly folded with intructions. and i think everything is there.
