Description
The listing, tulip tree has ended.
This tree, in the poplar family, has lovely green and yellow blossoms, with a bright orange stripe. I have several ranging in height from 4" to 10-12". They grow quickly, and are beautiful trees, which turn a bright gold in the autumn. Bidding is for one tree, but if there are several bids, I will list more. I will not dig until auction is closed.
is this tulip tree for certain zones or can they grow in most zones I live in Washington state so I was curious cause you live Georgia where its usually way warmer over there than here
The web gives different information. One site says it is good for zones 4-9. Another says 5-8. You might look up info on it one the web. They are recommended as landscape trees for the yard, and are fast growing.
I have many, ranging from 4" to just under 20" This is a fast growing tree. You might want to check it out on the web. Thanks for viewing and asking! Ellie
I have had no problem at all with sap, but then, my tree is at the edge of my yard, over grass and a pine island. It does not seem to affect the grass, as some saps do, but when I looked it up on the net under, "Do tulip trees product a lot of sap?", it seems it is a problem for some if the cars are parked under it, or it is against the house. It is the blossoms which seem to product the sap,, and it is not prolific with blossoms. I am sorry not to be more thorough in my answer, but to be honest, I did not even know it produces a lot of sap until I look it up, because of where mine is located. I hope this helps at least some!
