Questions & Comments
In between the yellow frame around Charizard and the red background, on the right side of charizard, there is a shadow. shadowless cards don't have that shadow and are a bit lighter in the background than shadowed ones. Shadowless with a 1st edition stamp are also very rare.
very shocked bids went over retail on it assuming ppl hopeing to resell the card misstaken it for the shadowless's big price XD if was shadowless in that cond tho would be worth about 60$ tho :) i just recently got a shadowless alakazam near mint :D
ya shadowless are very high demand, tho they are only printed in base set. The bigd eal about shadowless was the short dumbed version. (base set first print of pokemon) they never had a shadow around the border of the pokemon so they stoped printing them and thought it would be better to reprint the series with a shadowy border. Being they stop print lots was sold tho very few compaird to the reprint of the base serise which was then again reprinted into base set and then again later on in legendary series so relistially the card been reprinted 4 times. That is why only the shadowless is really valued, depending on condition u could get up to 700$ for a shadowles gem 10 mint now days which are extreamly beyond rare. Card collections are valued more strick then comics so inspectors of values are anal. For a example your card loses about 60% value cause of the minor surface scratches on the holo (again jus saying) simply cause that is fair cond not a near mint a near mint would be 100% perfect color with very few scraches for a example :)
i dont mean to seem rude tho how do you consider a base set 2 chairzard a 45 $ value O_o 3rd print of asme art if u count shadowless and base set with shadow O-o
can buy now for 6$ free ship on ebay right now not trying to be demeaning dont get me wrong just double check current markets on cards befor simply looking up most expensive retailer and posting a price on it. Regardless a beautifull card none the less.
Ur not being rude at m, I guess my dad must have checked the wrong site or it was saying the shadowless one was $45, I don't know but thank u for letting me know it's good to know things like this
I know but with a lot of the earlier cards I have quite a few doubles I just need to find them because when I was little I would try to get as many cards as I could, whether it would be a repeat or not
I might I'll look for it and let u know, I'll also let u know what other cards I have, friend me on Facebook, it's Joseph Scarpa, with the same pic I have here
