$6.00 is this the only amount for shipping?

I know shipping fees can be a sensitive issue so let me do a rough itemization :)

USPS charges $2.25 for $100 worth of insurance
USPS charges $0.80 for delivery confirmation
USPS charges $4.90 for small box flat rate shipping

So that's $7.95 actual shipping cost - I'm only charging the winner $6 (the rest comes out of my pocket)

Folks, this is a really nice, fully functional, albeit older model, digital camera, with extras, that cost ~ $700 originally, and currently sells used for nearly $100.

As I'm typing this note, the top bid is only 31 credits

Listians :) if you want a greater number better auctions listed, you've got to be fair.

Would you want to pay to ship your digital camera off to someone in exchange for 31 credits that will hardly buy you anything worthwhile on Listia?

Manisha25, I actually sincerely appreciate your interest. Hopefully, you don't mind my candor.

Merry Christmas to all :)

Don't fret Incontrovert! We like to bid like crazy at the end - you'll get decent if not fantastic bids for this! Personally I like to hang back and see the comments and questions just to be better informed because I'm stupid about these techy type items. Plus the folks on this site are great about spotting frauds/fakes/scams and letting everyone know to keep their credits. I think the shipping question may have been directed more towards is shipping the same for US and Canada/Worldwide?

Thanks for your kind & encouraging words. This one will have to go to a US bidder. In the near future, I'll be shipping internationally, once I learn more about the process.

Don't miss my other one: http://www.listia.com/auction/1239775

$50 gift certificate OR Canon SLR camera with 3 lenses (winner's choice)... currently less than 1200 credits...ends in less than a day!

Special gift for the next 5 bidders, regardless of whether they win or lose (see comments)

I know for something light (not sure about the camera..) to ship to say Pakistan or Australia is 1.44 USPS. For the flat rate not sure about those...But I ship out of country quite often with my business :) --But I also only ship earrings, necklaces & other types of jewelry. And all they PO requires for something light is a short Customs form. For anything (I want to say over 3 LBS) you fill out the longer customs form, but as long as you don't mind that, shipping international isn't to hard, nor a tear in the pocket. (depending on the weight & box of course!) :)

Thank you so much!!! I see people in other countries asking about items, and really feel for them because the great majority of auctions are US only. I've been blessed to have some really good experiences with Canadians - some of the nicest people in the world. Anyway, I see Listia growing by leaps and bounds over the next 12 months, and I want to be a part of that...in a global marketplace :)
