Description
The listing, Dark blue stone, chain stamped 925 has ended.
I tried to get a good picture of this necklace, but until i went to take pictures of it i didn't realize it was actually blue. A real dark blue stone on sterling silver chain.
Ask any questions, I found this years ago in a house i lived in and no one claimed it so i kept it. Now I don't need it so I wanted to put it up for auction to my fellow listians.
Enjoy, ask questions...

there are different colored saphires also. .It's very common practice to treat or enhance gem stones using all types of methods. Hard to tell what the stone is without testing it or having a gemologist look at it. I don't think it matters what kind of stone it is anyway(whos going to know when your wearing rite:). Looks terrific in that setting and with that chain. I love it and think your auction should do very well. I'll deffinately be bidding on this..
So far what i am understanding is that i more than likely am auctioning off a possible high quality sapphire on 925 sterling silver chain? Hmm guess i should have done some research before cleaning out my jewlery box. Oh well to late now.
Acctually the darker the sapphire the better quality. I have a sapphire wedding ring set thats so dark they are almost black. A very expensive set of rings....
it is beautiful.. i just listed mine and it is like a deep red ..same as yours....i spotted your listing after i put mine up early this morning for a 9 day auction.......my husband paid 119.00 for mine on valentine's day.....i have the price tag showing....and it can be more....it is 925/silver/sterling
good luck to all. I will state that i still am not sure if it is real. By the sounds of what people are saying i may actually have a genuine sapphire. But I don't want anyone to hold me to it.
if this is indeed a true sapphire which it may be, should be be dark blue to almost black tint..i have admired stones my whole almost 50 years and I look for darker stones now..thanks for the auction and bidding~.
