I have a spool of 50 plus yards of 28 guage, #1 grade, Copper Wire for wrapping, crochet, embellishing, hand stitching, etc. I rescued several spools from an industrial purpose before they were thrown away. The wire is shiny, good quality, and beautiful. I intend to use my spools for jewelry crochet. I took a class for it once, but choked on the wire prices. Now I have found a cheap way to do it. You have to add this spool of copper wire to your jewelry arsenal.
