Description

The listing, LeapFrog Leapster 2 - works great, needs batteries has ended.

This is the newer version of the Leap Frog Leapster which adds a USB port to download games and save progress to your computer, and a SD card slot (128MB SD card is installed). Works with all Leapster and Leapster2 games.

System has some signs of wear but works 100%. Touch screen and stylus work perfectly.

Battery needs to be charged and I cannot find the charger. The system works fine if you plug it in (AC adapter included), if you buy the 4xAA battery back cover, or if you have a way to charge the battery!

I have seen a lot of new games for this system for $5 each at the store "Five Below." Or you can find them cheap here on Listia!

Includes:

Leapster game system
Toy Story 3 game cartridge

Fast FREE shipping with tracking in the USA. From a smoke-free home. Thanks and happy bidding!

Will you ship to Canada?

Sorry, not on this item -- it is heavy and shipping to Canada would be cost prohibitive.

Hi, I could be wrong but here is how I understand how this works.

I am including an "AC adapter" which will let you run this without batteries. This is how the kids have played it.

I don't think the AC adapter will charge this particular battery. I have seen a "dock" that the system plugs into which charges the battery. It connects to the three metal tabs on the back of the battery, not to the round plug-in port.

So unless you have the proprietary battery charger (or an external battery charger), I don't think you can charge this battery with a regular 9V plug-in.

Thanks!

Oh, awesome :) The battery pack worked just fine the last time it was charged. Even though it's been a long time, it will power the system for a couple seconds using this battery, so it is looking promising that it will still take a charge. But I can't say for sure. Hope that helps!
