The listing, Post Card- Unused, Covered Wagon- BENTON or BUST has ended.
15-101313 This is a vintage post card that was collected, but never written on or used. on the back it says this: "Covered Wagon....The best known covered wagon was the Conestoga. The studebaker wagon was built in the late 1800's. The Conestoga was used for most settlers, so they used the box type. Canvas was placed over bows that gave protection from the elements. When a wagon train was on the trail, it looked like sail boats thus the name Prairie Schooner. Settlers formed wagon trains for their protection. Each wagon owner had one vote and officers were elected from the group. "The wagon train was under the command of a wagon boss and his word was law...M.P." published by Royal Pictures, Colton, California. This is a neat old post card, in excellent condition.
