if you bid 699 and no one else bids then you still get the chain for 200, and you keep the other 499....so if you want both, then you need to bid on both...

I understand that...but if your the only one the bids, then you only pay the 200 and you keep the rest...if someone else bids 500, you still the winner until someone bids higher that 699..
