Is it missing the black plastic hand pieces, or are some just not attached? There shouldn't be any background showing through the hand area... Thanks!

All of the plastic arms are there, but one has detached; however it could be resolved with glue. As far as the background you speak of, I am not sure what you mean. All I can tell you is that it is not broken and what I mentioned in the description and this comment is the condition of it. If you do not like the fan browse onto other items. Thank you. :-)

Thanks for the answer. The background showing behind the plastic arms was what I was referring to. Knowing that one of the arms has detached answers that for me. It's a lovely fan, and I'll continue to watch. I apologize that I apparently offended you by asking the question or making the statement about the background.
