I believe it means Printable Document Format.
Many electronic books come in this format for easy printing and referencing, and also to convert to other formats such as mobi for Kindle.
If you have a smartphone, you can view PDF ebooks.
Very easy to scroll through on both your computer and smartphone!
I read ebook in PDF format on my computer all the time!

GIN means Get It Now.
