The listing, Zuni or Navajo Native American Cerrillos Turquoise Petit Point Ring Sterling Silver 8 1/4 has ended.
I just love this ring, but, I want to earn credits for gifts for my family. It is a big ring a roomy size 8 or 8 1/4 but not quite an 8 1/2. The turquoise is a deep green cerrillos turquoise. It looks almost like jade in the sunlight. I purchased the ring from a lady that traveled to indian outposts and reservations in the 70’s in Arizona and New Mexico. It is sterling silver and was purchased as such. I collect sterling and this one is the real thing and never tarnishes or turns your finger green. Bright silver with no underlying tones. All hand crafted by an artist of the tribe. The ring is perfect other than one tiny chink missing from one of the sawtooth work settings around one of the stones…or may have been done intentionally as Native Americans would leave one flaw in each hand crafted piece so that evil spirits could escape the jewelry. There are no chips or cracks on the stones and no scratches or wear to their surface. Each stone was hand set and remains tight and firm. Does not need reset and setting is not worn or scratched anywhere. The band is slightly irregular as t is a vintage ring with ever so slight signs of usage. I know you will love it as much as I have! Thanks so much for bidding! :)
