Description

The listing, 1865 Mini Gold Maximilian Peso "NEW" (Plz read complete description) has ended.

PLEASE READ THIS DESCRIPTION IN IT'S ENTIRETY!

For your consideration is this 1865 Mini Gold Mexican Maximilian Peso token. While I was told that this is a 24k gold plated coin, I wouldn't count on it! It's not even a "replica" of any coin anywhere in the world, as thousands of retailers and individuals falsely claim. It is actually a token NOT a coin. The winner will receive the actual item as pictured in the first four pictures. The dime in the 4th photo is merely for the purpose of indicating the actual size of the single Maximilian coin (token) that the winner will receive. The other pictures are for informational purposes only! The last two pictures are of an actual authentic 90% silver Maximilian Peso from Mexico.

Don't fall for the 1000's of claims that these mini discs are highly sought rare & valuable 1865 Gold Mini Maximilian Pesos from Mexico. Every one of those statements are totally false.

BUYERS BEWARE!
Genuine Maximilian Pesos were never minted in 1865 & were only minted in 1866 & 1867. They were minted of silver & not gold and the mini tokens only vaguely similar to the genuine silver Maximilian Pesos minted in Mexico in 1866-67.

These fakes are not rare or scarce & are manufactured by the millions in China, United States & Mexico.

They certainly are not "sought after collectibles" except perhaps by some who have absolutely no idea that they are mass produced discs, usually worth mere pennies.

Even those that are genuinely gold plated have a gold value to miniscule to calculate the precious metals fair market value.

ship to canada?

Thanks for your interest however it's too costly for a low value item and tracking service isn't available to Canada unless I pay $12.95 for registered mail.

I'm sorry, but I've done three international transactions of which two were very poor experiences resulting in a cash loss of over $10 for postage fees plus the cost of packing materials, the loss of the merchandise and nearly 20,000 credits because members claimed they didn't receive the merchandise even though I had the receipt and customs from my post office proving I mailed the items.

Why fake a coin that doesnt exist and if it did would be worthless?

Juston, I don't exactly understand your question.....and perhaps you didn't understand the description of the this coin. My auctions are blatantly honest, forthright and educational just as this auction is. Readers should know that your blocked me from commenting on your auctions and then came to my auctions and starting making unprofessional and childish comments. I'm happy you've made comments, thus providing me the opportunity to reply. If your read the description you'll have your answer. I don't attempt to mislead members in ANYWAY! Nor do I put price tags on items with exorbitantly ridiculous high prices that aren't even the slightest bit close to the "real" market value......Hmmmmm, I don't suppose you know of anyone who does that. You should invite everyone who visits my auctions to drop on by and visit yours......Have a nice evening!

Unlike Juston, I don't make rude condescending comments on another persons auction and then block them as he has done to me. People who block others from their auctions, do so only because they themselves have issues they choose not to acknowledge. You obviously didn't read the description for this auction now have you read or seen any of the 100's of coin auctions I've had. and your actions speak worlds about the kind of individual you are. you need to know aboutI won't block you although Listia may block you....you obviously didn't read my entire description. Unlike you, I don't mis-lead people to believe my items are worth more than their "real" value. You should have read my desceiption before you opened your mouth and inserted your foot. This guy is a little off kilter! He blocked me form his auctions after I made a "nice" professional and courteous comment. Individuals who act like this certainly have issues....Check his auction out and read my comment! He'll likely now hide my comment as he won't want people to realize he responded inappropriately to me.

Seller hides own comment. That was very condescending and you still did not answer my question.
Nov 7th, 2013 at 10:11:04 AM PST by
Original
And what exactly is your question? Mr. Juston is correct.....I did block my comment because I was in a brief brain fog and temporarily lowered my personal standards to that of Mr. Juston and for that, I apologize. My comments weren't condescending....they were simply honest! Mr. Juston is making rounds of my auctions posting unfriendly comments. I won't block him from commenting on my auctions as he has done to me on his auctions......And for what reason he's blocked me, I have no clue! I invite anyone who so chooses, to visit his auction and see if any of you can figure why he blocked me. Perhaps it's because he didn't want me to provide legitimate and well respected resources where people can research the value of coins.
Juston's unprofessional and childish actions speak for themselves.

Ah, well then I have nothing to be concerned about! ;-) I'm so grateful that you clarified those who should fear you....

I was really scared there for a few minutes as I thought you were after all the respectful, honest, ethical and courteous people who have a conscience and moral standards that they attempt to adhere to. But you're actually referring to the moral turpitude of individuals such as yourself.

Thank goodness! At least now I'll be able to sleep tonight!

Ta-Ta....Good Night and have a good life Juston!

I would like to extend my apology to everyone regarding the comments from
justonpurcell5 and my replies to him. I should never have replied to his comments as unscrupulous individuals who make unprovoked rude comments to unsuspecting individuals, do so only to provoke a reply and I played directly into his hand.

Nov 11th, 2013 at 5:57:08 PM PST by

Thanks for your interest......As the description states, I was told it is 24k gold plated however it's possible it is not as there are "millions" of these manufactured everyday and sold throughout the world. I believe it was Ebay that actually did a random test of 1000 of these coins from something like 650 "different" vendors and less than 50% of them actually contained any gold at all and less than 1% were actually solid gold. So I have to say that the odds are that it doesn't contain any gold.

We like our auctions to be informative and sometimes educational. While the winner will actually receive the coin/token pictures, the main purpose of this auction is to inform people of all the scams going on EVERYWHERE with these Maximilian coins and tokens. While they may be a good conversation piece, the majority of them are actually worthless. Even those that truly are 24k plated only have an actual vale of less than a dollar. No coin dealer or pawn shop would even give you a single cent for them, much less even allow these fraudulent pieces in their shops, stores or inventory. Their actual value is probably about the same as a penny you may find walking through a parking lot. And many people will just glance at that penny through the corner of their eye and simply pass it by leaving for the next person to decide whether or not they want to pick it up when they catch a glimpse it...........Me, I always pick-up any coin I see, regardless of what it is. My husband does not......
