I have an unusual pair of LARIMAR (DOMINICAN REPUBLIC) 925 STERLING SILVER EARRINGS with BLUE FIRE OPALS for accentuation..

WHAT IS "LARIMAR"?

Larimar is a blue variety of pectolite and is only found in the Dominican Republic. The blue comes from cobalt in place of the calcium found in other pectolite.

It is a rare Caribbean Stone, found only in the Dominican Republic. Also, called the "Atlantis Stone".It has an unusual color of blue.It has few inclusions, and more transparent/although milky in appearance it is more expensive/valuable. It does come in a few different colors. It is considered a pectolite/volcanic stone.

Larimar is found on a one square kilometer on a mountaintop in the Dominican Republic. Acquiring this gem is difficult due to Mother Nature and the local terrain.
