Description

The listing, Ground Cherry Seeds has ended.

15-20 fresh (2013) ground cherry seeds - they look like a tiny tomatillo (a little less than an inch across) and taste kinda like a cross between a pineapple and a tomato (tastes very fruity).

Very delicious. I love to snack on them, but I hear they make good pies and jams as well!

Start them at the same time as you would for tomatoes and peppers.

Yeah, me too.... The first time I ate them, I thought they were just "OK", but the more you eat them the more you love them. I'm gonna plant 5 next year.

Not sure what would happen if you brought them in (especially if they are receiving less than 6 hours of sun per day).... In my opinion, its a heck of a lot easy to start new plants in the spring rather than trying to find a winter home for all my tender plants. I did a quick search and it says ground cherries are perennials, but never tried to save them for the following year because they get too big.

I brought mine in for the winter but it looks like they aren't doing so well.
