The listing, Dell Inspiron 6000 LAPTOP!! has ended.

This was my daughters laptop. Some how or another she ended up deleting the operating system off of it. Before she did that it worked great. It does have WiFi on it. It does have a couple keys missing, but that did not effect the laptop. The keys that are missing are still useable all you have to do is click where the keys where. The picture does show that the battery is low, but it does come with a charger and the battery was holding a charge fine before she cleared the operating system. I don't know much about the specs. It would be good for parts. Sounds like a bad hard drive. You should be able to reinstall operating system with no worries. Was the laptop ever registered at Dell when you first purchased it?

Well thank god I am not part of the Geek Squad, cause they really dont know what they are doing except taking money from the clueless. I am however a geek when it comes to computers, and by my profile pic you can see I have 3 children, I just won one laptop for the oldest that needs work, and my 6 yr old needs a computer since he is in school, so I think you have yourself another watcher here. I can fix it and I already have all the programs right here so if I win it you dont have to worry about sending the recovery disk or anything else other than the computer and power cord to me, ok?

Omg, I wish I had known you were gonna list this. I wouldn't have bid on the PS2 and would have bid on this instead. Oh well. I have a few credits left but I'm sure this will go way higher than what I have. I refurbish Dell laptops and I'm sure this would be an easy fix. It could just be as simple as Windows having become corupted from a virus or something. Using the recovery disk would probably fix it right up. Good luck to everyone! Great auction Mindy!

There are 3 missing keys. They still work you just have to press where the key was. lol They have been missing every since she got the computer and she never had any troubles without them.

my computer said this before and it's just what it said: needs a operating system and that's all. you can call Dell and tell them you need an operating system disk for what ever model it is and( it would be great if numbers are on ther bottom) and simply put them in and restore! The most I have ever paid is $30.00 for op disk. You can also check Ebay.

be careful when placing an auction on here. You have to follow Listia's rules, but they apparently do not have to follow their own rules. They seem to favor those who have been members longer than newcomers and even if the newcomers have followed all of the rules to the T.

Its the hard drive because it says "Error Loading operaing system" that means the computer found the os but could not execute, if there were no operating system than it would say "No operating System found"

we had 2 dell laptops and they lasted about a year till they both needed a new harddrive about $175.00 each

I had this problem on a laptop before. Someone blanked out my entire OS and all I did was put the disc in and it loaded just fine. It was even an upgrade to what was on there. This should be easy for anyone to get fixed. Good luck to all the bidders. I would bid, but i have two laptops and a desktop, i do not need anymore.

i would say call geek squad but they wil charge you 80.00 just for the phone call or tell you to come in the store in guess what charge you to tell you still they tell little as they can till they get the money or have them come to your house and still pay 80.00 for the phone call and another 100.00 t 150.00 to knock on your door lol and another 150.00 to tell you whats wrong then the cost to fit whats wrong with in lol its there nice way to tell you tojust get a new computer lol soooo messed up :)
