The listing, Rosa Rugosa seeds, qty 10 has ended.
Rosa rugosa is a hardy shrub rose which makes an excellent barrier hedge; meaning no sane person or animal would consider trying to crash through it, crawl over it or even touch it. Why? Could be the zillions of deadly thorns all over the branches. I planted a long line of these to keep deer out of my back yard and it worked like a charm! They won't even nibble on them.
Hardy is USDA zones 3-8, prefers full sun, but will tolerate part sun. Likes rich soil on the dry side, but will do well in clay soil and sandy seaside conditions. Flowers are profuse, a magenta pink, single form and heavenly scented. Blooms mid spring-early summer and produces huge rosehips by late summer which are often mistaken for cherry tomatoes! I’ve been told they make great rosehip jelly, but I don’t like jelly so I’ve never tried it. They are rich in vitamin C, however, and work well in teas.
Instructions for growing: Place them in moist soil and stand back. Really, that is all there is to it. They do it on their own if you let them!
You will get ten seeds, enough for a nice, protective hedge.

Please think and be quite certain you want this item before you bid. I can’t ignore bids once they are posted. If you win regardless of buyer’s remorse, I’ll relist the item and keep the credits. It is a hassle to have to relist an auction because of careless bidders. It is a waste of my precious time. Sorry to be harsh, but I’ve been increasingly put-upon and I don’t like it nor need the trouble.**
