The listing, ANTIQUE WATCH/PENDANT NECKLACE W/OPALS has ended.

This is a stunning piece that I have never seen one like it before! A good friend of mine gave it to me after his wife passed a little over 2 yrs. ago, and her grandmother had given it to her when she was 16 yrs. old. That give you some idea of how old it is. One side is etched and engraved and adorned with genuine opals, the other side is a open faced watch with roman numerals. This piece is stunning! The only markings I could find on it were Swiss Made Lucerne. It does have a bail on the top to put on a chain. The clock face is also etched engraved.

***NOTE**** Took this to the jewelers today as it doe NOT run, to see if he could fix it. He doesn't fix watches and is the only jeweler around for 200miles to the city. But he did say it was definitely old and in excellent shape & with the simple mechinisms that went into watches back then, if should only cost between $5.00-$25.00 to get it running, as it winds good, he said the insides probably just need to be cleaned and oiled. He did call 2 people in the city that he does know that fixes watches and they confirmed what he said. So please make sure when you are bidding on this that it does NOT run, but is fixable.

Good question, I never tried it, so I just wound it up about 10 minutes ago, as it only has the hour and minute hands, as you probably know the old watches weren't made with a second's hand, but anyways, no, it did not run. So when I go to town this week I am going to take it to a watch dealer and see if they can fix it, if they can I will get it fixed, but I live in a rural area, so I am not sure if he fixes watches, but I will try, and after that I will put a note in the description saying what I found out. I can't imagine it would be that hard for someone to fix, as these older watches were made pretty simple. But as of right now, no it does not run.

I am glad you like it, I would like to see it go to someone who will appreciate it. But I also want to make sure that you did read that the watch does not work, our local jeweler said it wouldn't cost much to get it fixed, it probably just needs the insides cleaned and oiled from sitting dormant all those years.
