Description

The listing, A Beautiful (but sad )Story!!! Tiffany Style Vase has ended.

This is (was) an absolutely perfectly gorgeous Tiffany style Vase, I found it at a flea market years ago and I wanted it , despite that it is badly cracked. I knew I'd never be able to afford a real Tiffany Vase, so this was the next best thing(I put it high up on a shelf - where no one could see the crack, and just a little too high for anyone to reach! Lol!) It has looked wonderful on it's shelf for years!! But it needs a new home , it's just so gorgeous , I didn't want to just throw it out. One other idea I had was to break it into pieces , to make jewelry, or cut the base midway at the narrowest part ,flip it upside down and create a fantastic hurricane lamp (you'd need to find or make a base, also cute the same way put a candle under, and a lovely dish under that to make a Fairy lamp! I just love it as it is, with flaws and all! I hope you love it as much as I did!
Please have your address verified, and no I don't "Do" Paypal (not yet). Shipping has to be paid first before I can send it to you> and I'm not the speediest(lol!) so patience is a virtue!! I'll get you the mailing price , but I need your zip. Ty you for looking! One more thing! The iridescent colors you see in the 2nd to last pic, is really visible all over! The Camera flash just negates it , but it is there!!

hi there Listerena! hey can I make a suggestion here? first--how about someone painting over the crack? I can see a vine with flowers twisting around the crack in the vase! oh I can ABSOLUTELY see it! It will add more character to your vase--like maybe gorgeous white Morning Glories? or just a beautiful and delicate vine winding it's way around the vase--the possibilities are endless!

And the thing is, I had it for years and in my kitchen, if the dog or cat or my son knocked it over, so what? It was already broken!! Lol! But you can't tell from the front.

Great idea!! I saw one done with the purple part of quohog shells!(Normally I give those to the Narragansett Indians in RI to make earrings and necklaces and rings, but they don't like pieces found on the beach (only fresh with the clam inside (lol!) or uncooked as the shells splinter on the buffing wheel or being drilled, so I thought maybe I'll do a framewith bits I find on shore! The one I saw was glue gunned, and gone over with a glossy finish. Another idea is embedding into 2 part plastic (epoxy) like they do bartops!! (On wood) . I love the mirror! idea! I've done shell mirrors!

Hey listerena is there a COA proving its a Tiffany? Or some sort of Tiffany markings?

Oh, no!! I said "Tiffany Style" very clearly in the title above!! It is NOT signed Tiffany!I thought I was being quite clear. No even a Broken Tiffany piece would certainly be well worth the cost of a restoration!! This has all the earmarks of Tiffany , except the inside is white, I'm not expert, but there were many Glass artists who tried to imitate Tiffany style. And this piece is a gorgeous example, but I would in no way claim it to BE Tiffany without a signature.

TY for asking about that Rick, I do appreciate any clarification, we all try to make things clear, but I would never recommend anyone break up a Tiffany piece!! Because there are people who can restore glass!

This could be Loetz or it could be any number of glassmakers, you can go to Heritage House online
