This is a genuine 1934-dated .900 fine silver U.S. dime, with a cut-out look. It has been gold plated. The coin is called a Mercury dime because of the lady winged image. It becomes 80-years old next year in 2014 and would be a great gift, especially for someone that has a grandparent born before WWII in 1934.

This pendant was created by a custom punch that removed the coin's background. It looks just like hand cut out coin jewelry.

It has been lightly gold-plated, and still retains an antique look with darkness in the crevices, with tarnishing silver influences through the plating.
