Questions & Comments
Good news I'm going to help you out! This ring is made by Bradford exchange and the coin is in fact a Spanish 8 reales coin recovered from the shipwreck of the Sao Jose. It's an awesome and amazing ring if you really think about it. The GIN is reasonable for this ring too. Good luck and I will bid if it doesn't get higher than what I have.
they did not tell you waht it is i will i have priate linage there are what is called gold dabloons worth of $20,000 & that is what be be callin dah peice of 8--rrr beit fromthe Bradford then it is nto the original--they kept them & theve have remanufactored replicas to resemble thier find. They will not sell priceless heirlooms fromthe Antiach that was sunk--she be down to sleep in the brine neey deep rrrrrr now ya have ur replica & good it is but if it were real about $10.000 beit worth
Despite what the pirate says this is a real coin. Although rare they are not worth the sums of money he says. The gold ones maybe, but not the silver. eBay has plenty of REAL. Graded shipwreck coins that are under 100.00. This ring is worth a lot more than that in my opinion but the coin is real!
Here is my info, I just thought i would share. The coin in in fact NOT authentic but rather created with a PORTION of coin silver from the authentic coins Still a lovely ring, I will be bidding and hope I win. here is some more info: In 1622, the noble Portuguese carrack, the Sao Jose - attacked in rough waters - settled to the bottom of the Mozambique Channel with her treasure intact. Nearly 400 years later, the treasure was located and painstakingly recovered by Arqueonautas Worldwide. Now The Bradford Exchange Mint, in cooperation with Odyssey Marine Exploration, presents the Sao Jose Shipwreck Ring created with a portion of authentic coin silver used in the centerpiece of the ring! This ring is truly a unique statement piece for any man to wear - and a genuine piece of history.
A fine jewelry design available exclusively from The Bradford Exchange Mint, each Sao Jose Shipwreck Ring is crafted with a small portion of real silver salvaged from the wreck and finely displayed in a rich 24K gold-plated setting. The words "Sao Jose - 1622" are engraved inside the ring to remind you of this jewelry's enduring place in history. Claim sunken treasure for yourself - but act soon, since demand for this memorable ring will be strong. $179 on their website
I would but it is pretty costly to ship jewelry I found that out on something I shipped there it was over $20 dollars:( but if it didn't cost so much I would
