Supurb acting by both stars Susan Sarandon
,charismatic and intelligent acting and intense chemistry with Stephen Dorff, in a role he could have been born to play-- this an A1 film! Stephen Dorff is a man with smoking crackling sensuality as the kidnapper dealing with a frumpy Saranden--but you will see she gets "hot" looking as she undergoes psychological "changes" inspired by Dorffs behavour in the film. You never know what his plans for her are--shoot her with the gun he always has on her, or ravish her as time goes on. . So there is sex tension all thru--she is the estranged oddball wife of a small town rigid pastor!!--They slowly "change" eachother, and are spectacular in doing that.The style of this escapist-roadtrip can be amusing (despite it revolving around a bankrobber kidnapping an innocent bystander), but the emotions and complicated bonds that arise are wonderfully deep and inspiring. This is really about people who start out wrong and end up right, each discovering his/her own strengths and place in life !
And, ultimately, a moving romance. No woman alive wants to miss this!!
Now you see Steven Dorff as the guy in the TV Non_ smoking ad commercial for the smokless cigarette which blows out a mist.with the blue tip.
So I guess we all agree, the dude is STILL "smokin' hot!!!
