What would you say is the appropriate age or reading level of this book? Also, is it part of the series? In other words, would my kid have to read any other books first to follow the storyline?

It is part of the series I know i have the rest of them i would just have to look my closet is FULL of all kinds of books and age wise i would say 10 and up. The site where i ordered the book says for young teens to young adults. Hope that helps :)
