50+ Heirloom Anasazi Bush Dry Bean Seeds
The Anasazi Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) is a beautiful maroon and white bean, similar to Jacob's cattle bean. Identified as one of the few cultivated crops grown by the Anasazi cliff dwellers, the native people of the Four Corners region of the United States. Anasazi beans are versatile and flavorful. These beans are easy to grow, drought tolerant and sweeter than the pinto bean, and they cook faster with no soaking. You can plant successive crops for use as both green beans and dried beans.
Sweet flavor, meaty and nutty. My favorite cooking bean.

Questions & Comments
How do these beans do in the cold like southern ca mountain area?
Apparently they want well-drained soil and at least 6 - 8 hours of full sun. I know they are drought resistant and they like the heat here. The bushes died when the frost hit, so they don't take freezing temps.
