most acoustic guitars have the pickup under the saddle and you plug the cord in the back on in the strap holder

jenny most acoustic/electric the pickup is under the saddle, thats why you dont see the pickup and staggs make a good guitar its a good beginner guitar.

I don't think its an electric Acoustic. They do make electric acoustic guitars, but they have a pick-up on them, somewhere around the port hole. It would have a place to plug in a patch cord, and I don't think this one has any place to plug anything in, but it doesn't look like a bad acoustic guitar. Good luck with it!!!
