I won this bracelet off Listia, about 4 months ago. I wore it for about a week, put it in a jewelry box, and have not worn it since:( I really love it, lovely piece, I just do not wear bracelets, as they "get in the way, of working." It;s just stunning work, so I thought i would put it back on Listia, to give someone a chance to win it, and wear it!! It is a beautiful bracelet, a collectors item. Very unique. The original seller, described it as, "Bracelet is from the area surrounding Machu Picchu. Has rotating oblong silver beads with a Mayan warrior and Pteroglyph on the back. Other oblong beads have a emerald looking inlay and opal/pearl colored inlay. The actual clasp does not clasp securely yet due to the closing mechanism {joining pieces of bracelet together] the bracelet will close tightly and securely.The clasp is a clearly recognizable and intriguing face that slides securely into another bead. Note: To keep it on as secure as possible, as this bracelet does close, The small outer clasp just needs to be more "fitted" to the little silver "knob." Could easily be done at home with a pair of needle-nose Pylers or a similar tool, which I do not have.
The French standard for sterling silver is higher than that of other nations, requiring a silver content of 950 parts per thousand, or 95% silver. Bracelet fully extended measures approx. 8".
