Description

The listing, vintage necklace choker ~L@@K~ has ended.

what I have here is a:

??question mark of a ladies choker??

I bought it from a private owner and she says
it was brought back from the island of gwam
by her father for her mother after world war two

I have no idea what metal it is or what the stones are.
it does not have any marking.
it measures 12 and 1/4" with a 3" extension
it is in great shape. I have no idea if it has been worn before.
I would say it needs a light cleaning though to bring back its luster.

if anyone does know anything about it please let me know
before it goes to the highest bidder. I will not stop this auction even if you have something great to say about it.
i would really just like to know something about it. its a one of a kind in my eyes. I have never seen anything like it before.

I only ship to the u.s.a
I do not do returns on my actions
I have given the best description that I can and please
see the pictures for other details.
all listia rules apply
make sure you want to own it. or do not bid
please have a listia verified address or do not bid.

this is a 3 day only auction so it ends near my other auctions. so I can ship all at once.

thank you for looking and have a great day!

I bought it from a private owner and she said
it was brought back from the island of gwam
by her father for her mother after WW2
so I guess that would date it at the latest 1945.
as for the color of the stones I see white, green, orange, and brown.
yes the flash did make them look brighter.

thank you for your question.

The chain portion is called a book chain, popular from about 1910 through the 50's and normally only found on bracelets so nice find! watching.

Beautiful piece! The "shell" is called an operculum. It's actually the "door" to the sea shell, a gastropod. These have wonderful color to them. :)
