No Verizon requires a Sim card for there 4g lte service. Its no biggie just call Verizon and they'll send one out.

im not puting one in it and yes you will need one they are $6 you will need to unlock the phone as well for you personal use . like it says it is only the phone nothing more the phone works great i have no use for it i upgraded
