It is just a castor bean. However, there are different kinds of castor beans. I grow four, the purple, this one, a bronze, and a red.

Looks just like a castor bean plant. Most invasive and poisonous to animals. I use mine to ward off gophers and moles from my garden. Just be sure to put a fence round the it to keep your dogs away. Gophers hate castor bean plants. Plant one hear your root vegetable garden and you'll be a happy gardener. Cheers ~LosAngeles
