it's smaller than ho it's more like 1/72 scale all plastic battery operated uses double a 1.5 v the set had track when new now we don't have that info

if you are confused about scale go to www.modelrailroader.com and look at all scales from 1-1 large scale to g, o which is Lionel. ho is half o scale down to z scale.
