The "Perra chica" (Little female dog) was the colloquial name which was known to the coin of 5 cents Spanish peseta. This name was given in allusion to the strange lion (which was confused with a dog) that appeared on the back and also was called "Perra gorda" (Fat female dog) equal to the currency of motifs in front and back with double the weight, size and nominal value (10 cents).
