Questions & Comments
so how do you know that they are from the civil war?
I stated what I know about the item in the auction. you can always google .54 cal lead civil war bullets to see what you come up with. I have many of these auction list in the past and everyone has been happy with them. If you are looking for authenticity, that I don't have. If you have a question or don't think they are .54 civil war bullets, just don't bid.
no I think its a valid question. Did you do research? Have a historical expert look @ it etc? My grandfather collects civil war stuff so I was interested in this piece but need more info. also if your representing as something its not you could run into problems down the road. But thanks anyways
If I have paid money to have an historical expert look at it, or if it had authenticity I would not list it on listia for free. "also if your representing as something its not you could run into problems down the road."
You are talking about people listing and item KNOWING it is not really that item. This like all my auctions are listed, as best of my knowledge. and this item was dug this up on the Lakota ranch in Culpeppper VA which is west of the Quantico Marine Base. I am sure someone who knows a little bit of history can look at these and know what they are, and would enjoy having them.
My boyfriend and I collect Civil War items and these are from the right time period from looking at the pictures. Were they actually fired during a battle? No one (even a paid expert) can say that. Great auction and am watching!
