I was gifted the flute from a Mohawk. I don't know where it came from.

J T is Jonah Thompson, he makes flutes and is Navajo. Check his flutes out on Ebay, many different styles.

Hey. Could you tell me if the turtle is loose on there or is it actually attached to the wood? The ones that I've seen have the turtle tied underneath the turtle itself, not on top and the tie usually has feathers. I'm wondering if this one is somehow different. Maybe it depends on the key it's in. thanks

It is tied on with leather and a pipe bone to hold it ther.
